First it made me hungry for Maine lobster....It has been a long time.

We talk a lot about building 21st century skills but underlying the development of those skills is creating more autonomy for the student.  We need to model and  provide more choice, flexibility and self direction in learning.  This is a complicated process to manage in a standards driven, high stakes test environment with short term accountability goals.

Teachers have to be learners.  Technology is key as are the processes we use to organize and monitor our curriculum and its delivery.
